Sage Peachtree is one of the most popular accounting applications in the world with powerful features for businesses and accountants. In this post we will cover how to print Sage Peachtree (Sage 50) 1099-K forms using 1099-K filing software from W2Mate.com
The native 1099 forms supported by Sage Peachtree are 1099 Miscellaneous Income and 1099 Interest income. For 1099-K (at least currently) is not supported by Sage 50. This is why we will use W2 Mate software to import data from Peachtree, map it to 1099-K form fields and then print it on regular paper or IRS pre-printed red laser forms.
Easy to follow steps:
- Install and open W2 Mate software. You can download
W2 Mate from http://www.realtaxtools.com/download.html. - Open the Peachtree import wizard inside W2 Mate.
- Follow the steps for preparing a 1099 data
export file. W2 Mate gives very detailed instructions for this step. - Feed the export file created in the previous step
to the W2 Mate PT import wizard. W2 Mate will read the file, parse it, validate
it and show you a preview of the 1099-K form fields. - Once you validate all data, click the import
button. - Navigate to the 1099-K forms screen and check
the forms one by one and make sure everything looks good. - Click the print button, select the recipients
you want to print the forms form and type of copy. Make sure you have blank
paper in the printer. - Once date is printed check your forms and make
sure what you printed matches the data inside Sage PT accounting. - Feed pre-printed 1099-K forms in the printer and
use W2 Mate to print copy A forms for the IRS. - Mail payee copies and the IRS copies along with
the 1096 form.
